Saturday Morning

From Here

To here

to here
And here
This is my Saturday morning routine.

PS These are messy pictures. No composition, no art, no imagination. Just what my life is like. Btw, I felt really self conscious taking pictures at the grocery store. I went to an aisle where there was nobody around. Do you feel that way?

Natalia, I like your pictures! Fun to see the progression!

This photoblog project is interesting because on one hand we want it to be a journal of our lives but on the other hand we want to take "amazing" photos-- and lots of times real life doesn't allow us to slow down, compose perfectly etc!

I like the journaling aspect of this project so much. I am not working on editing very much yet at all, right now I am just posting them as I take them with maybe a little bit of cropping.

I have been getting better about taking random photos in public, Nathan and Athena keep teasing me about it though. I told them they could be embarassed for me :)

I feel the same way...very self-conscious of taking pics of 'normal' things. Like people are going, Why the heck is she taking a picture of THAT?? Of course, I feel the same way when I'm painting in front of people,, so I guess there is just a certain place you have to get to as an artist that is beyond self-consciousness. But I'm not there yet! :-)

I must be weird. So far I haven't felt self-conscious yet. Maybe it's that triple E extrovert. :) Or maybe I need someone to club me over the head and say: Get that camera out of here. :)

Love this series. So true to our lives.

I love the pictures. The color is vibrant and it captures your day. I feel like I was shopping with you. :-)

I love the aspect of seeing everyone's day to day life more than anything. It is great to get that glimpse!

I get embarrassed too but I don't let it stop me. I did have a manager at the grocery store ask me what I was doing and an employee at a store today told me store policy was no photos. It's been good practice for me, tho, to kind of forget about myself and focus on what I'm doing. That helps. :-)

Yeah, I have a hard time taking those pictures, too. I haven't worked up the gumption to do the produce in the grocery store yet, but those shots keep lingering in the back of my mind. I like this series of photos -- just so real!

Natalia, this is a fun series, and I like them just this way! I think the composition is great!

And yes, I am self conscious in public, especially in stores. I know some do not allow photos, but how to know which ones?

Natalia I really like these! It's so typical of what we all do... the mundane, everyday things. And I like seeing those things. I love the journaling aspect of these photo blogs so much.

The other day (when I took pictures of the milk) I also took pictures in the garden section at Target and I was the only one in there. The guy who worked there followed me around and watched as I surreptitiously (ha!) snapped a few photos. He said, "Going to try them out?" I could see that he was trying to figure out why I was taking them. I just smiled and said I wanted to see what they looked like.
