Shopping: Round 1

Have you tried shopping with a teenager lately? Round 1 is finished. Did we get anything? Yes, ONE skirt. Is that what we were looking for? NO! We were looking for an Easter dress. Have you tried to shop for a dress for a 13 year old? It is impossible! Tomorrow we will go for Round 2. Wish us luck!

My nightmare. I hate shopping. I think the worst experience was L's high school graduation, for which she needed a white dress--as did every other senior. You'd have thought that would have been easy....

((((Natalia)))) I have been there! And by 13 Kayleigh was shaped like a grown woman, but wanted to dress like all her friends. What was cute on them was way too sugestive on her. Athena had the opposite problem. When she was 13 she was still shaped like a 8-9 yr old and nothing she like was ever the right size!

Girls clothes in general are hard to find because everything is so short and low on the hips, as well as cleave and midriff being the 'in thing'.

Boy do I understand! I've spent some time in Charlotte Russe myself! It used to be one of our elder dd's favorite stores (still may be, but she's 19 now, so I don't always go with her)! You have my understanding and sympathy!

I'm doing it today -- taking E shopping for clothes. It's her 15th birthday, and her chosen mode of celebration. Actually, we have a good time if we don't have something we HAVE to buy, kwim?
